Share View PDF | Print View | Views: 270 |

  • He only had 3000 members in the party

Reason1)

  • Thought he could get the support of the army, which was right wing
  • He belived they could be persuaded to turn
  • He had a close relationship with Ludendorff (who was a popular army leader and figure)

Reason 2)

  • Support of Bavarian State Government
  • Hitler believed he had their support
  • They were also right wing

It would be advisable to read an account of how Hitler got the Bavarians to support him, as it will give an idea why his faith on the Bavarians was misplaced.
