Force

  • force is measture in newtons
  • F=ma
    • force = mass x acceleration
  • Unbalanced forces=motion
    • speed
      • s=d/t
    • acceleration
      • (v-u)/t
    • veloctiy
      • v=at
  • or if objects are moving, it stays at constant speed

Acceleration

larger force - greater the acceleration for the same mass

larger mass - smaller the acceleration for the same mass

Friction

  • occurs whenever two surfaces are gripping - static friction
  • occurs whenever two surfaces are sliding over each other
  • air resistance

Firction Changes

  • Speed increases - friction increases

There is always an equal and opposite force to a force
