        - programmers
        - web page designers
            = all in popular and well known companies
        - systems managers
        - maintenance workers on assembly lines
        - sales assistants in shops

    Jobs have been lost

        - car manufacturing plants and assembly lines
            = robots perform most tasks
        - banking
            = Automatic Tele Machines = reduce need for banks
                = open all hours = very beneficial

    Jobs change when IT is introduced

        - Training is needed
        - Secretaries, teachers and maintenance workers are likely to be
            affected the most


PRIVACY OF INFORMATION AND PERSONAL DATA


    - easy to get information on disk
    - easy to find information on disk
    - surveillance cameras - should they be used?
        - they are an issue because they record personal data
            = in the form of a person's every action
    - information has potential to be misused


INTERNET


    Advantages

        - vast access to information
        - freedom to access any information you want to
            = benefits research
            = reduces congestion made when visiting libraries
        - on-line shopping
        - teleworking = working from home
        - better communications
            - e-mail, video conferencing
    
    Disadvantages

        - large amount of unsuitable material
            = pornography, how to make a bomb, victims of war


BENEFITS TO DISABLED PEOPLE


    - voice recognition for people who are physically unable to type
    - wheelchairs controlled by microprocessors
