The exam is worth 40% of your final mark so it’s important you gain every mark you can. It is multiple choice. Each question has 4 possible answers. You will be given a piece of information, and you will use that to work out your answers.

Questions will cover:

Word processing

Spreadsheets

Databases

Desk Top Publishing

The internet

File maintenance and management

You will have covered all these during your lessons this year, but you may want to use some of the websites below, or the revision skills pack given to you by your teacher, to help you revise.

Exam tips:

  • Don’t leave blanks – go back to it later, you might surprise yourself!

  • If you have time at the end read through your answers to see if you can add more

  • The exam should take you the full hour (with checking time)

  • As you mark your answers on the answer sheet, make sure you are filling in the correct box, its easy to mess up if you have missed any questions out.

You can use lots of different sites to help you revise:

www.reviseict.com

www.bitesize.co.uk
